Nell Smith is an illustrator and printmaker working from specialist print studio Hot Bed Press in Salford, producing contemporary works on paper. She has had a studio here since 2014, and sells her work directly to the public, alongside teaching and running workshops. Taking inspiration from nature, drawing and the labour behind hand-made work, she produces neo-traditional linocuts, colourful screen prints and intricate papercuts.

Since graduating and completing her MA in textiles, she has consistently developed her work and technical skills, and is always eager to explore and gain mastery of her chosen techniques. In addition to her studio at Hot Bed Press, she is also an affiliate maker at Manchester Craft and Design Centre and an active member of Manchester’s creative community.
