Glass artist Colette Halstead is based in Lancashire, England. Using traditional techniques of kiln fused glass and leaded glass she produces wall panels, vessels, and jewellery which can be found in galleries throughout the UK. Colette discovered the potential of glass in 2004 after graduating with a BA (hons.) in Fine Art Printmaking and has taught kiln fused and stained glass since 2007.

Inspired by nature and driven for a desire to feel a connection to the organic feel of her work Colette chose Pilling in Lancashire as the ideal location to base her workshop. With a stunning vista to open countryside and a peaceful tranquility it helps her to feel driven to create, while being only a short distance from both Blackpool and Preston it provides the ideal location for holding courses for people seeking to learn about creating stunning pieces of glass for themselves.
