Kate, a trained graphic designer now translates her two-dimensional ideas into three dimensions. Clay has given her the perfect medium with which to express herself. Since 2016 she has evolved a style inspired by Japanese simplicity and an appreciation of the hand-made, which she enjoys using and looking at. Kate combines this with textures and patterns derived from what she sees around her. Every pattern is hand carved making each piece unique. She loves the combination of the carving with the calming neutral colour palette and enjoys making small collections or one-of-a kind pieces that bring joy.
