Stephanie Carlton, formerly working under the name Clay Shed Studio, is an artist working across several mediums; primarily ceramics and printmaking/ collage, with a porcelain jewellery range which combine those techniques.

The themes that connect across all these mediums are a focus on mark making, contrasts in light, and abstractions in pattern and landscape.

The ceramics are thrown, or hand built in porcelain and stoneware, and each is a unique artwork, as are the related jewellery pieces.

The decorative finishes are created using printmaking and resist-layering techniques, along with hand-painting designs onto the pieces. She uses materials such as gold and wax in all her work, to create accents to her restricted palette.

Stephanie is Australian, now based in Norfolk, and works from a studio in her garden.
