Helen Shere is a self-taught jeweller, working in silver and gold, drawing inspiration from the urban textures and leafy details found in her home towns of Nottingham and York.  Metal stamps are used to ‘draw’ on the surface of the silver, creating illustrative pieces of jewellery full of detail and pattern for you to enjoy.

Nottingham and York have a wonderful combination of old buildings with rich history, and tree lined streets bringing much needed greenery into the city suburbs. Helen loves the combination of these two elements providing texture and interest as she wanders and explores the cities. The repetition of the bricks, the contrast between differing ages and styles of construction and the little plants often finding a home in the cracks have provided inspiration for the jewellery.
