Harriet Caslin has been drawn to exploring line and repetition in her work for as long as she can remember, intrigued by the tactile and inviting surface it evokes when applied to the day to day items that make up our everyday lives. She finds the process of repeating, rotating and aligning a simple shape into a fluid immersive pattern to be meditative and the result create a truly unique collection of homewares and lighting.

Her work is slip cast, predominantly using porcelain. She makes all her own models and plaster slip casting moulds to create the work, The models are either turned on the plaster lathe or made digitally using a laser cutter to create the crisp uniform details that are then softened through the hand making process.
